The sun sets still,
And in this evening calm-
Perfect Tranquillity-
When the day's nearly up,
Yet the sun's coming down,
On a yesterday that's passed,
And yet to come,
Here you are;
With your cold hands outstreched,
Drink in this twilight sun,
And bask in these moments,
Where time passes you by-
Untouched- and defy,
Rules and obligations,
That bind and restrict you,
In this stand-still realm;
A searing mirage across your eyes,
Drowning the flame and your dilemmas,
Into the (in)finate skyline.
One tomorrow-
If it hasnt already occured-
You'll find the meaning of all this:
That glimmer, that streak,
That colour , that shriek;
Of a bird that's took of too early,
In anxiety and panic,
Left it's wings behind;
The gradient rainbow sheet,
Slowy being devoured into one hue,
Blue;
In these night-time summer dreams,
This day - this era is through.
Yet as sure as death, and time, and change,
As sure as;
That plummeting bundle of feathers,
Will rise once again.
Even if its not the same,
A brand new age will commence;
Yet now these magic instants are gone-
The calm before the storm-
This new era... begins;
And you smile,
Such a weak grin,
This time will end just like the last,
And you will come to witness,
And bathe in all it's pure enchantment,
Each new setting unique from the past,
And as a new bird,
Glides across the sky,
You keep your promise:
"I'll come again tommorow."
And I'll be there to(o)
Record this special passing of time,
When one day ceases,
Swallowed by the night-
Pefectly tranquil-
And a new one lingers,
Asleep under horizon's light;
In this timeless purgatory,
Which I wish would never end,
We'll come together once more,
And watch the sun's fiery decent.
